FIBC / Big Bag

Versatile FIBC / Big Bags for transporting heavy-duty bulk materials safely.

Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) / Big Bag for Heavy-Duty Industrial Packaging

A Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC), commonly known as a Big Bag, is an industrial-grade container crafted from flexible polypropylene material. These bags are used for storing and transporting dry, flowable products such as sand, fertilizer, and plastic granules. Available in both coated and uncoated versions, FIBCs come in different sizes and can carry loads from 500 kg to 2000 kg. Their strength and versatility make them the go-to choice for industries requiring safe, efficient, and cost-effective bulk transport solutions.

Specification

Type A
Type A FIBC bags are made from woven polypropylene and provide no protection against static electricity. When materials rub against the bag, especially during filling and emptying, static electricity can build up. Because of this, Type A bags are not safe for transporting or storing hazardous or combustible materials. They should also be avoided in high-temperature or flammable environments.

Type B
Type B FIBC bags look similar to Type A bags but have a slightly more conductive material due to a lower breakdown voltage. This makes them suitable for transporting some combustible materials like dry powders. Although they can prevent propagating brush discharges, they are not fully anti-static. Care should be taken to avoid contamination with flammable or conductive substances on the outside of the bag, as an external spark could ignite the materials.

Type C
Type C FIBC bags are conductive, with a woven and non-conductive material that grounds electrostatic charges. This makes them ideal for transporting flammable materials and using in environments with flammable gases, vapors, or dust. However, they must be grounded to be effective. Proper grounding during filling and emptying is crucial, and these bags need to be regularly inspected for damage. The conductive elements, such as lifting loops and reinforced seams, should be intact to ensure the bag remains safe for use.
